Carlos is a physician and surgeon from the Universidad del Rosario, Orthopaedic and Traumatologist. He has completed international fellowships in trauma and orthopaedics in Germany and Barcelona. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Sciences and has been a full member of SCCOT since 2006 and AOTrauma since 2009. He is currently an orthopaedist and traumatologist in the Osteoarticular Infections Team of the Orthopaedic Section of the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital (Medellín – Colombia). Lecturer in the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Postgraduate Course at the University of Antioquia (Medellín – Colombia). In recent years he has ventured into the exploration and use of different tools for learning and training of surgical procedures in orthopaedics such as closed reduction of femur and pelvis fractures. Since 2018 he has collaborated with the SimDesign alliance in the development of a surgical simulator that uses virtual reality for the training of minimally invasive surgical procedures in orthopaedics.
