Co-founder of XR PERU, Andres Leon-Geyer is a researcher, university lecturer and creator in new media with an academic background in philosophy (PhD), theatre studies, musicology and film. He teaches and advises on conceptualisation methods for artistic projects, scenic use of media, interdisciplinary communication and tools in the field of new technologies.

His theoretical research fields are aesthetics and epistemology, as well as the forms and manifestations of digital culture. Within the latter, he focuses on the current developments and challenges of Extended Reality. Currently, apart from being part of various theoretical and applied research groups, he teaches at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) in the faculties of Performing Arts and Art and Design, as well as in the Interactive Audiovisual Communication and Performing Arts degrees at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).
